Loyal fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who leaped a fence and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the Australian man bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains videos of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more message on Instagram.

Some supporters also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while some called for social media platforms to block Mr Wen's videos.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande appeared startled when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore supporters had lined up to see the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore venue, including some who had queued for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-film version of the well-known stage show Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely friendship between two contrasting characters.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, winning two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
