The men are rejoicing over a mass killing that humanitarian officials fear resulted in the deaths of more than 2,000 individuals in the African metropolis of el-Fasher last month.

A City Isolated from the World

Having held the city under siege for almost two years, from the summer the RSF moved to reinforce its control and restrict the leftover inhabitants.

Space-based imagery reveal that forces commenced to construct a enormous berm - a raised dirt embankment - around the edges of the city, blocking roads and blocking humanitarian assistance.

Posts depicting its fighters handing out supplies to residents were shared by various users, while the paramilitary's communications team released numerous recordings purporting to display the proper handling of military captives.

Regardless of the social media initiative being deployed by the RSF, their activities in the city have generated international outrage.
