Performer Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Stance Following Lending His Voice To Disputed Coronavirus Feature
The acclaimed actor has provided his voice to a new documentary that casts doubt on the safety of vaccinations and praises ex- cabinet secretary RFK Jr.
The Documentary's Provocative Basis
Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a well-known publication written by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the global outbreak for claims that the virus was caused by a problematic version of the seasonal immunization.
Her collaborator, the executive producer, has also written books with controversial media personality Alex Jones. Heckenlively wrote online celebrating Neeson's role in the project.
A Firm Denial
The team of Liam Neeson have issued a comment strongly denying claims that he supports anti-immunization sentiments.
"Many understand that misconduct might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that should never be conflated with being against vaccines," the response reads. "He has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vaccination. His considerable work with Unicef underscores his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."
The response continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the film's messaging and that inquiries about its content are best addressed to the producers.
Central Assertions Featured in the Documentary
As presented, the script spoken by Neeson makes several controversial claims:
- It claims that pro-immunization voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to health authorities.
- It posits that "research has become highly politicised."
- Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured stating, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
- The narration also criticizes pandemic restrictions, saying they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
- Concerning Covid vaccines, it mentions a perspective that they were "hurriedly approved" and seen as "hazardous tests."
Historical Context and Current Disputes
The documentary further cites a historical film about clinical trials on children, which was later the focus of a BBC apology by the corporation for editorial breaches.
Last month, RFK Jr directed the CDC to change its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This assertion is also referenced in the documentary, despite a new report from the WHO stating no connection has been found.
A Past Position of Support
Standing in contrast to the film's narrative, Neeson has formerly expressed firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.
Previously, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable triumph," adding that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."
"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's narration proclaiming, "This is not the conclusion of our narrative. This is the beginning of a new chapter."
