The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's release, to players forming firm views on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with astrology? This list is inspired by a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly selected for Aries, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. However, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, known for being playful, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

Taurus – Mega Heracross

Much like a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its standard and Super Form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will defend their side to the end. According to the official info, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also known for its ability to make a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.

Leo – Super Starmie

The Scales – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its ears to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. Though, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress more about everyone else.

Scorpio – Mega Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became sentient through pure resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a show. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can imagine.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
